The champions online beta is comming up soon. I really enjoyed city of villains with a lot of you guys, this game is supposed to bring alot more with it. It's worth a shot. Remember the lackey system?

I believe I am signed up already for beta can't remember...I enjoyed CoH and COV (did not play with you guys tho) just really no end content really. Hoping Champions is better in that aspect. ------------- |

I heard you could get a key for this without being a fileplanet subscriber. One could always do it the old fashioned way though and preorder it, cancel it if you don't like it.

Whoever gets up and going in the beta first, post which server you chose in this thread and we can all just check here before we choose to make things easier. Ok is it just me or are the server listings completely ghetto'd in the sense that there's no actual name. just a ping rate and status of how many people are playing? kind of deal

Yeah I actually will be playing this as well, I'll have to add you guys to my global friends list or whatever. I joined a team called Watchfire several weeks back in anticipation, they are a pretty solid group of comic obsessed nerds, like myself.So far, Munitions is KICKASS, and i plan to make a Punisher-esque character, and then perhaps a really UBER old school Superman type as my secondary character.
Really tho, the way you can switch between different powers(respecing) as well as differnet builds, like Offensive, Defensive, you really can do it all with one character.
Which is good because i had some serious alt-itus with COH.

Nice to see you still exist. I'm force/munitions right now. What is your characters name so I can add ya, I have like 5 characters atm, trying to figure out what look I want to stick with. I think that is the server number and how many people are on it Goff. The thing is you can always jump servers to whichever your friends are on and you can speak across servers. -------------

I added you goff, and doing so I found that you can add friends by account so you can see if they are on no matter what character they may be on. I'm not sure if you have to use a character name or not. If so just add Xen@xenetic, if not just try @xenetic. I plan on playing this game for a while. Anyone else going to jump on board? -------------

Like any mmo, it has a few bugs, but they really have no effect on game play. It is much better than CoX. CO has much bigger zones, more open world content. CoX was just the same missions with different NPC's, CO is nothing like that. The combat system is more responsive, you aren't waiting on your attacks to hit anymore, You push it and it happens. You even use blocks and defensive shield abilities. You can take an ability our of every skill set if you want. -------------

Did it feel like you really had to push in any direction in order for the character to move correctly? It was happening to me just before my board apparently blew up yet again.

I use the Nostromo n52te. I use buttons 8, 12-14 as my WASD. It felt no different than any other game, feels just like a keyboard. I tried using my xbox controller with it, it works well, just not a controller guy. Sounds like you use the D-pad on the nostromo to move? That's kinna difficult. I use the D-pad for modifiers like Ctrl or Shift or a key I have to hold while moving all directions. -------------

This game was free for the weekend. Character creation was great and I liked the game but I can't justify paying 50$ for it with COD MW2 around the corner. ------------- |
