hello, i am the co-founder and webdesigner of clan tcf. this question is for your website designer/programmer...

where did you get the code that displays your TS server status on your site?

i can see the site is asp which is actually the environment i prefer. is there a link you can give with a how-to on this? is this custom code you could share?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi nalanthi,

I prefer ASP as well, but was unable to find decent teamspeak query scripts in either ASP & PHP. I started writing my own basic one a while back, by querying the server using telnet commands: http://www.fayaz.ca/ps/ts/ - http://www.fayaz.ca/ps/ts/

Eventually, someone started an open-source project on SourceForge called TSDisplay, which is what we're using now. It's still in PHP though, so I run the script on a seperate linux server, then grab & parse the output in realtime using ASP on this site.

TSDisplay: http://sourceforge.net/projects/tsdisplay/ - http://sourceforge.net/projects/tsdisplay/

If you're running your site on a windows server, I will gladly host a seperate script for you and provide the ASP code.

appreciated. i initially thought it was a little sarcastic and wondered if i should be offended. thanks for the clarification.

fayaz, thanks for the info. i did run into the sourceforge code as well. i appreciate the offer for hosting a script and i will definately get back to you if we get to that point. as of right now i still need to get a more solid TS server up and running. while i'm working on that, i'll keep looking for any possible ASP solutions that may have come out recently and let you know if i find any. though you have a working solution now, simplicity is always a goal of us web designers.

thanks again,
[n]alanthi

Hehe, nalanthi did not register for the forums, but is using the default "Guest" user account. Every unregistered post uses this user, and increments the total post count (hello Heclest!);  I guess the database was created well over a year ago.
