the prob with ea accounts is they say you can use one acct for everything, but i have yet to be able to use an acct for more than one thing, and many times, need more than one name for a single product. i dont know what the problem on their backend is, but their account retrieval stuff is 199% worthless, and the fact they're halfway integrated with gamespy makes in 100% worse. so in the end, 1 person ends up with 27 reserved names in their system but are lucky to have 1 that works. -------------

i just fly around in that reaver looking thing.. the missiles are supposed to lock on to aircraft but it seems VERY hit and miss :/ i can be flying full speed and discharge all my missiles and they will fly off and hit sombody to the far left of my screen and i can be hovering behind somebody and they are hovering to and the missiles dont lock :/ its very fun though on the ground i just use the gunner kit, like i did in BF2 ------------- |

Well, if you join a "green" latency server, you shouldn't get "lag." The anti-armor guy is pretty fun, as his SMG gun will kill anyone up close and the anti tank rocket does good dmg to vehicles. And since the Battlefield games are about fighting against vehicles, anyway, this class just kind of makes sense. Anything can kill infantry, even your butter knife at home... so yeah, the assualt class/gunner class is kind of defunked, unless you just happen to be out there all by yourself then you deserve to die. -------------

I played the demo last night with Tybo, Snow and Sol last night and it was pretty fun. I plan on buying it if I know enough other people that will play it, really only fun if your playing witha crew you know. Im gonna try to get on the demo again tonight after drivers ed. ------------- |

Edit: Now everytime I try to join a server I get in for like 2 mins and then it boots me. I must have tried atleast 5-6 different ones and kept getting booted, anyone have an idea why this may be happening? ------------- |

Your connection could be timing out or maybe they are kicking you for high ping automaticly? A firewall conflict (via program or router)? Dunno -------------

I'd say ~75% of the time I don't see the person that killed me... I don't know if I really like it, but it's fun playing with those guys. I don't know why you guys were looking for PS in a Battlefield game. It's a slower pacing but the action is more constant, and it's scope isn't an entire global conflict but just a skirmish. You have to know how to manage the map by controlling the points, and this entails combating, majority wise, vehicles. You can't jump out and fire, straffe, fire, either. And if you play 2dementionally, then you will just get out maneuvered in-game. But I really like the graphics and atmosphere; they mix very well with the gameplay and concept. No, it's not perfect, but then again, I think we've all seen that PS didn't have to be perfect for it to be fun with the right kind of people. -------------

Oh it's a completely different game Jban, for sure. Even with persistent character stats, they're still 15-minute skirmishes at best, and even though a good portion of the action is cinematic, it can get fairly 2-dimensional, unless you start playing in clan matches. PS will always be PS. -------------

i played the bf2142 beta and that sucked pretty badly. There was serious lag issues and the infantry weapons were horribly inaccurate, which might have been because of the lag. any word on if any of that was fixed?

they are still pretty inaccurate.. cept the support gun which is very overpowered (you can kill snipers with it if you burst right..)

I didn't find the engineer gun to be inaccurate; it's just designed for close range. The assault gun has better accuracy, due to it being more of a rifle. I'm not sure about if you're expecting the bullets to go exactly where ever you fire? If you join a green sever Bhop, it runs fine. In terms of the [beta] being buggy... it was a beta? Again, I am not sure how to view this aspect. After playing Planetside for 3 years+ since its beta, I am immune to being frustrated with common game bugs, even Battlefield. PS was just one big torture of the senses, and now everything else, in every other game, just doesn't even come close to the PS I still play, in terms of unfixed bugs/problems. -------------

i actualy like the game, il probly pick it up.
yes it might be a huge mod of bf2, but its fun to play.
and i wish they had that Type of sheild system around PS's generators, where you would have to hack or blow up 4 difrent terminals to get in.
if you can find no other good thing about this game, at least im sure you agree with me that that part is inovative.

too much info pol. it just sucks that 3/4 of the time, my team mates turn out to be useless... its sad and frustrating.and yes, i like small games ( 12 vs 12 ) over huge games, i dont like being just another face in the crowd.
i noticed bigger games are normaly lagfests anyway, and what you do has no overall effect in the game. we need more midgets playing this imo :p
