Anyone know of a program that can change the region of your computer to play DVDs from other countries?

but that limits you on the amount of changes.  Why not just copy them to your hard drive?

AnyDVD will do the trick. It's a little program that runs in the background of your PC and removes region restrictions.

I uploaded the version I have on my PC to rapidshare... you can download it here:

Yes, there is a patch included in the rar file. Use it.

Any reason why as soon as you install it, Norton pops up saying that it Quarantined Trojan.horse ?  I tested this twice on two different machines, and the same affect, cleaned off, of course.

Jban... a lot of crappy virus programs (IE: Norton) recognize patches/cracks as viruses for some reason. I use Kaspersky Antivirus (one of the best) and there is no trojan/virus in the .rar file I uploaded. I just scanned it again to double check.

Other then that... you might already have a virus on the machine and the AnyDVD files caught it once you executed them.

Yeah, that's what I figured.  I already found out that VLC media player works fine in playing cross-regional things.  I had mailed Janine a DVD (The Doors), and she got it to run using VLC.

What would happen, after installation, Norton would automaticly quarantine 2 files of Trojan.Horse, both on her computer and mine.  I hate Norton, but it's provided to me for free, and I don't currently have the money to "purchase" something else.

Thanks for trying to help, though.

... get Kaspersky from any torrent site. Or I can upload it somewhere for you if you want.

I downloaded the full-30day trial version, and it was conflicting heavily with Norton antivirus.  I can't uninstall Norton, because it's required for my university.

I would uninstall Norton in a heartbeat if it was plasable.

Wow, your university REQUIRES you to use Norton? Thats pretty funny. They are most likely doing more harm than good with that requirement.

Yeah, I know.  It's just a thing where it's provided to you for free, and they have a login program that scans for it inorder for you to log in.
