So it's been about 2 1/2 years since I've upgraded, and recent power supply problems in my current system have got me looking around at piecing together a new system.

I already have a Lian-Li case I am going to re-use in the new system, dvd-rw etc. The price is under $1k, which I like... but I just don't know if I should pull the trigger and make the purchase. It would require me moving from XP to Vista also... which I'm not too sure about.

Any thoughts?

seasonic was going to be my next power supply, just haven't needed one yet. i've read really great things about them. enermax also makes good psu's. corsair would be too new to the game for me to use them when the field is crowded with companies already making really good stuff.

secondly all things being equal, the nvidia cards have the physx built on yeah? i know there's not a ton of games out there right now which use it but if it's on every new nvidia card i'm sure it won't be too long before most games will take advantage of it. i just don't see much point in buying ati at this point.

last go round i built two systems, one of them had corsair ram and the other with ocz. the corsair died and was warranty replaced, the ocz has never missed a beat. good choice on the ocz.

lastly, what pc games are you looking to play which require upgrading? the pc games market has been pretty bleak (compared to consoles).

I really only play WoW, but was looking at playing CoD4, Crysis etc. with a new gaming system.

Crysis is a sweet game I just picked it up.
 
System looks good...I when trying to fit everything in a budget I usually go more processor power then graphics card power because its easier up grading vid card then processor imo.

yeah, i never bought a 360. would love to play little big planet but not buying a ps3 for one game. have a wii.

was wanting something with 'real' games and couchability. isn't that a 360?

why the samsung drive instead of seagate or wd? i've never had a samsung drive but i thought they bought the ibm hd line after the deskstar debacle. hmm, maybe it was hitachi.
