The guys from Dinamix of old are finaly working on a tribes like game
 
they where fired in 1998(?) just after the release of tribes 2..
they then formed Garage games, and have been making and selling their game engine... witch they will do doubt use for this game, as it is perfectly suited for it
 
( i know the news is kind of old, but ive just learned of it )

i played for 10 mins or so and it feels sluggish and like i have velcro on my feet.

i'm glad everyone realizes tribes (1) was a fantastic game and worthy of updating, but no one has yet managed to even come close to capturing the magic of the original.

the controls are a little weird at first. the default controls are just wrong...
you hold the right mouse button to make yourself "Ski"
and push the space to use the thrusters.
 
i suggest you switch right mouse to space
then middle mouse to right mouse...
 
makes things allot better

they are, however, missing an Invert mouse option.. :(

guess i had my buttons wrong cause i was using the default keybinds with my old tribes habits, but the dude in the video moves like i would have liked to.

This is where I got my original name from "hackingsniper" where sniper gun actually one shot folks if it was head shot. Two post nerf.  that and picking off ppl flying by predicted disk launching lol. If they can ever get it where the first one was I found me a new game to play. :)  also tribes vengeance is where I founded the name DVSone.
