Those pictures bring back some serious memories. When people played to win and everyone played loyal to their empire. When one account could only have one empire on it and all means of winning the fight were valid at any base. When person shield was a worthless implant and rexo only gave you 50 more armour. When fast response was pioneered by mosq pilots afterburning across continents to get to the right warp-gate, and when the NC used to make Searhus their 4th home-cont.

has to do with SOE taking processes that were originally handled by their servers and dumping it onto the individual clients (us, the players) so that they could cut their bandwidth. Ash was the first person to notice it and post about it on PS forums a couple years ago.

well, i got myself a new computer, no more problems now, i easily get 400+ FPS around the sanc, if i go up and look at a wall, or the ground, it can go up over 600.
 
in a red alert i have yet to see it drop lower then 150, other then the occasional stutter. it just disapointed that this is when we are all taking a break from ps, sort of.
