Brian Gionta: Deal with Devils Near? |
|
RotoWire.com Staff - RotoWire.com Sunday, September 24, 2006
Update: Gionta, a restricted Group II free agent, has drawn some interest from other clubs, including the Flyers, but is remaining loyal to the Devils, according to the New York Post. It is believed that a deal has been worked out.
Recommendation: There are rumors, according to the story, that Gionta and fellow restricted free agents defensemen Paul Martin and David Hale, have deals in place that have not yet been filed. The Devils still have some cap work to do but it's looking probable that Gionta will indeed be on the ice for the opener. |

I personally don't consider them to be anything special. Their strikes alone show that they don't care about the game, they just want to get paid. Overjustification effect, anyone, anyone?
And don't knock batman bitch!

Name one professional athlete that is in it for the love of the sport. We would have to hop in our delorians and go back to the 30s or 40s to watch baseball players that actually just played for the love of the sport. But than again maybe the soccer players around the world are in it for the love of the game.
