Of course thats a nice system, and if money is no issue, go for it. You can build a machine that can play any game to date with no probs for $1000 easy. I always reccomend building the system yourself, buying parts separately. It's fun, cheaper, and you can get exactly what you want. Unless you are obsessed with benchmarking, EE cpus arent worth the money, seeing how a non EE will do just as well with any games you would be playing.

I was going to get the Core 2 Duo 6600 ...
that would drop the price to like 2,600

AMD is slashing their prices for processors dramatically....something like the 5200+ is only going to be around $500.
Dunno if you'll notice any performance difference though.

i think AMD has slighty better perfromance/price.
but they normaly run hotter, witch means a bigger fan.
and that means, louder and if your in a small room, it will get hot quick.
