ok so im buying new parts for my machine. Need some advice on a motherboard. P4 3.0 processer stays and so does my 1 gig of pc3200 ram. other than that im replacing most everythikng including the case.

so if anyone can suggest a great gaming motherboard compatible with that i would be quite grateful )

How much money you looking to spend?
Need more info on the P4. What socket & revision of P4? etc.
Is the RAM 2x 512 sticks? DDR2 or DDR?

lemme get back to you on that. money isn't really that big o deal if i can get the performance.

my computers are notorious for getting alot of money spent and getting little improvement.

Go to crucial.com, they have a memory scanner somewhere on that site.

thnx aled. yep i was right pc3200 ddr ram 2 512 sticks. i'll prolly get another 1g of ram also.
