i used a TV card.. more specifically

Leadtek WinFast VC100 XP Video Capture Device
Price:  £14.95   (£17.57 Including VAT at 17.5%)

im from the UK so i dunno how much that will be in $.. i like £1 = $1.7

to give a brief explanation of how it works..

you plug the card into one of the PCI slots, then plug the wires (supplied) 1 into the TV card and one into your gfx card.. (Video in the TV Card and S-Video in ur Gfx Card)

then you plug both of them into the S-video Scart (you should already have one, if not they are pretty cheap, however gold plated ones can be £14-15)



then plug the S-Video scart into the back of the VCR

it should tell you all that in the manual but if you have trouble you can always google..
