McRae seems a likeable enough fellow however, probably more so when he's not racing.

Actually, McRae was hanging around the codemasters booth with his wrc car looking rather lonely at the inaugural E3, which i attended, unfortunately i wasn't a rally fan at the time (over a decade ago) so i didn't go over and have a chat with man although ample opportunity was there. I bet it was probably a bit of a shock, as well as a reprieve, to be left alone at a press event, especially since at the time he'd have been reigning world champion. Ahhh americans, sod'em.
