Personally i dont see any difference between sh*tty mousepads and good ones.  Right now i use a huge one just do i dont have to pick up my hand all the time. But honestly does a better mouse and mousepad even help?  I played for 2 and half years using a microsoft  default mouse i got with my laptop, and managed 40k kills. But then again i suck ass maybe that's another reason why.

i think comfort is the biggest concern when it comes to mousing and surfaces. it it doesn't move the way you like and feel the way you like, then it's not optimal. but since hands are as unique as faces, what's best for one, might not be for others.

Ive been using the same mouse for 4 years. I love it and find it difficult to use anything else.
