american football ends one of two ways. either it's a blowout with one team trouncing the other with the lesser team having no real chance to win. or the game is decided by a field goal where the winning team sits on the ball for the last several minutes of the game so the action stops and the losing team has no chance to fight to the end. sure there are instances which don't result as previously stated, but they're anomolies and not the norm.
in either case, in my opinion, it's not fun to watch, and isn't very sporting.
